Users have the ability to opt out of the PHR completely. When a patient opts out, providers or provider staff no longer have access to their PHR, even in emergency situations where it could be helpful.

To opt out of the PHR, click Opt Out on the Welcome page.

A message displays stating the “Member successfully opted out of the PHR!”

To opt in, click Opt In on the Welcome page.

Users are encouraged to keep their PHR available and up to date. The PHR is a great tool to assist
patients in managing their healthcare, especially in emergency situations.
