National Imaging Associates, also known as NIA, calculates a patient's equivalent radiation dose using data provided by the health care provider and Arkansas Blue and Cross Blue Shield and its affiliated companies.

NIA returns measurement data twice a year based on claim information. There may be information on exposure to ionized radiation that is not factored into this calculation.
